![]() Hear me out: Cap of 2 that can't go higher, right? Say an event would have given more fitness. If there was an arbitrary cap to prevent T*S*T*C* from being too ridiculous, Warrior would have still granted +1.Īlthough, I have to say, this actually makes PERFECT sense. It looks like halving the end result might actually be the closest thing to accurate after all (2+2)/2=2. So I'll do that right now as I'm typing this! While your theory about halving the fitness is plausible, it's also decently likely that any bonus to Fitness with T*S*T*C caps at +1. I've played enough games that give silly arbitrary limitations to prevent things from being overpowered to not actually be surprised, actually. (I don't know how to do the DRtC emoticons on the forums.) At least I don't really have to try this for myself now haha.ĮDIT: Characters tend to start off with 0 strength/fitness/shooting unless something changes this so if it were only a gain of +2 it would be the the purple frowning face. The fact that it's not case 1, 2 or 3 makes me think this is either intentional or something weird is going on with the addition of stats. 3) BERSERK overrides T*S*T*C, and the character ends up with 4 fitness.Ĥ) Kepa caught onto this and intentionally divided the final fitness stat (+6) in half. ![]() I can see the T*S*T*C/BERSERK combo playing out in the following ways:ġ) The fitness boosts add together like we thought, ending up with 6 fitness.Ģ) T*S*T*C overrides BERSERK, subtracting 2 fitness to get to a final 2 fitness as per T*S*T*C. Unless this is intentional (which is totally reasonable because what we thought before is clearly OP), this almost seems like a bug. You've got the T*S*T*C perk fully upgraded, right? (Doesn't hurt to ask.) that means the combo gives +3 fitness instead of the +6 I'd hoped for but the +2 it would have given without berserk? if Berserk gives +4 Strength/Fitness/Shooting, and T*S*T*C + Berserk has Fitness at only 1 below shooting. Originally posted by Ranylyn:I got curious so I just tested T*S*T*C + Berserk. (Actually, now that I'm fleshing it out a bit more, T*S*T*C BERSERK should probably be paired with Paranoid Mechanic, since it's not like my Berserker ever needs to be healed.) I guess one advantage you could use with Civilized is that having half decent medical and mechanical to start means you can free up your perk for a combat-based perk. The one situation where Civilized definitely outshines Paranoid (outside of mechanical and medical skill checks) is the mannequin store the rest of the time, Paranoid works just as well or better than Civilized. The negotiation option doesn't even come up a lot of the time when I try my Civilized people, whereas the Paranoid check always comes up at every opportunity. (I guess if Kepa reverts Surgeon back to having a cleaver, I'd go in favor of Surgeon.) I know that Civilized people can negotiate to get out of bandit attacks more easily but Paranoid seems to be a thousand times more reliable. I'd make the case for Surgeon (or Health Care) and Paranoid, though. It's pretty clear that you love Civilized, haha. But I aim to find out for myself tonight. I honestly can't imagine that Kepa left that potential amazing exploit in the game. Surgeon + Civilized: Sorry, I know I'm a broken record with this one, but it's just so useful for starting with amazing social stats, 5/6 medical, and even decent shooting (I mean, even 0 shooting is fine if you shoot from a close enough position to the target, so 2 shooting is very useable.) With the 2 starting fitness from maxed TSTC and the 4 fitness from maxed berserk, that would make for 6/6 fitness (And like 10/6 starting strength with the ability to go up to what, 24/6?) Sure, only 1 HP, but seriously. Originally posted by Ranylyn:I want to try TSTC + Berserk to see if the +4 fitness is a work around to bypass the inability for TSTC characters to raise stamina.
